Kids with attitude- I may not be smarter than a fifth grader, but I sure as heck can beat the crap out of one!

Call me mean, call the title of my blog tasteless- I don't care. I'm just here to say I've got a HUGE problem with the way kids act now days. Heck- even teenagers, kids my age! Now, am I going to say I'm the perfect child? That I have never smart-mouthed off, or disobeyed my parents? N-to the-O, NO! No child is perfect & boy do I understand that. But I think my parents do a very good job at disciplining their children. Yeah, I got spanked as a kid and I see no problem in parents giving their children a spanking. (I believe there's a BIG difference between beating a child, and giving them a spanken.)

But back to my main point- Kids are so mean & disrespectful now. Even I, being a kid see it. I was on the bus today and two mouthy little boys told me they were going to shoot me and my friend in the face! Now if I would have said something like that, I would have gotten back-handed or in more trouble than I could think of. I see things like this even being in high school, kids mouthing-off to teachers.

So maybe what I'm saying is a little rude, yeah- I get it. But some people need an adjustment. And for the record, this is my personal opinion, nothing towards anyone. It's just what I think.

Thinks dat peepl who type like dis need 2b smacked in da head wit a DICTIONARY.

OKAY, maybe smacking people is a little harsh. But who said I was nice? Hahaha, in all seriousness, as a teenager myself I have seen a lot of misspelled words and horrible grammar in my day. And what really, REALLY bothers me is kids who can't spell! - Heck, if a guy can't spell he isn't even worth my time. That's how much it bugs me. Now maybe that's a terrible thing to say, but I know a lot of folks out there are thinking it.

Texting and sites like Facebook & the now untrendy MySpace have ruined this generation & probably the next one's spelling skills. I'm just thankful kids these days know how to read (SOME kids, anyways..)

Now is there something wrong with abbreviating once in awhile? No I don't think so- I use the occasional 'LOL', 'TGIF', or 'TTYL'. But once it starts effecting how kids spell in general, I really have a problem with it.

"That's what she said" Who is she and why does she keep saying perverted things?

Okay, I have no clue who she is, sorry everybody. Today I got into a conversation with a very good friend of mine about all the jokes we thought were funny back in Elementary school. Things like "That's what she said", or the always classic "Your mom" jokes. Heck, even now, I still sometimes use them when the opportunity rises. Because kids, there's nothing like adding sexual innuendo to a perfectly normal conversation.

"Make sure it's long enough"
"That's what SHE said!!!"

No matter how old I get, that's still gonna be funny. I don't care who you are.

Oh look! Your profile picture is a car! I'm sorry, I didn't know you were a transformer!

Okay, I was just on Facebook, and I saw some things that really bothered me. Why the heck do people (REDNECKS) post pictures of their trucks instead of themselves? I mean, I'd rather see you wearing your baseball cap with a fish hook on the bill, instead of your Chevy parked in your driveway when I go to your page. I mean c'mon people, am I the only one that gets annoyed by this..?

Another thing, why do preppy girls always, and I mean ALWAYS take pictures of themselves in their bathrooms? Now, I'm not going to say I haven't ever done it, but I think some ladies overdo it. Heck, even some guys. You know, if I were a bathroom tile salesman my sales pitch would be, "Think of how great this will look in the background in your Facebook pictures!"

Maybe I'm being a little cynical, but really?& I'm sure a majority of people agree with me.

Psh, little kids have all the fun.

Today, I got to thinking about when I was younger- Boxes; there's a lot of uses for one as a child. I remember I was about five years old, and my parents had purchased a new refrigerator. I remember being for excited about it, not the shiny unchristened kitchen appliance- but for the box it came in. I ran up to the box and immediately all the possibilities began to pop up in my head. A house, a firetruck, a submarine, a spaceship...

After I couldn't hold in my excitement in any longer, I wrapped my tiny arms around the box, mustered up all of my five-year-old strength, and drug the box out into our back yard.

"Choo Choo! I'm on a train." - It was truly amazing, the simple little things that brought me joy back then. Now as I get older, I see it's harder to please a person as they start aging up. Your wants begin to increase: A cell phone, new clothes, a car... But in that simple little box, I felt on top of the world. I had played in that silly thing until mom fought with me to come inside for dinner counting "5.. 4.. 3.. 2.."

It rained later on that evening. So that was the first and last time I played in that box. And since I was young, it wasn't to hard to wash away my despair. A good episode of blue's clue's erased my memory of the cardboard cube. But as I look back now, it wasn't just some stupid box. It was a childhood memory, a time I can look back and remember being happy and couldn't ask for anything more in the world.

Summing it up, as I get older and mature, I'm happy to move on with my life. But it's always nice to look back once and awhile and think about the past, not having a worry or care in the world.
