So while taking a shower today, yes, I know, it's a really odd way to start a blog post; BUT I totally do all my serious thinking in there. I thought, if people acted the way they do on Facebook in real life, our society would be more screwed up than it already is.
Imagine that your at a nice restaurant having a pretty good day- minding your own business, about to enjoy the chicken you just ordered. Then a couple fighting catches your attention.
"Who's this girl who keeps commenting and like-ing all your posts?"
"Why won't you accept my relationship request?!"
"Who dat ho?"
Then, at the end of the fight some one yells "SO-and-SO has gone from 'in a relationship' to 'single'".
THANK G-O-D we can just ignore this crap in our news feed.

Pathetic. Pathetic. Pathetic.
Okay guys, I feel terrible. I've neglected my poor blog for over four months now!
But I promise I will not do this again- and my new goal will be to write every week. Besides it's good to set goals over the summer, otherwise you wind up just sitting around in your pj's watching re-runs of "Friends".
... Which I would never do of course...

Whoops!
Wow, I can't believe it's been over a month since I've posted my last blog. Some days I was busy, other days it was just pure laziness. But since I don't want to bore you with all my writing, I'll post some of my lastest pictures.

My Sister
So, I don't really have much time for a new post this week, so I'll share my microfiction assigment for creative writing class. For those of you that know me, pretend you don't when you're reading this story. Pretend you don't know who my sister is, or how old she is. That way the story will make more sense.
My Sister
My sister is the most intelligent person I know. She hasn’t had much education, but she can be or do anything she sets her mind to. A librarian, veterinarian, teacher, artist, guitarist, doctor, lawyer, florist, a weather woman… She even once wanted to be in a mariachi band!
Even with all the career aspiration she has, she still has time to make it home for dinner. She really does continue to amaze me; it is not just her employment paths that put me in awe, but also the incredible adventures she takes. Just last week she traveled to Africa, this week she traveled to New York to catch a Broadway show. I wish I were able to visit all the amazing place she goes to, to be able to understand the way she thinks. But I’m afraid I’d tie her down, tie her down like a rock weighs down a balloon. Making her unable to soar to the heights I know with her ambition, she is more that capable of reaching. Therefore, I’ll just keep my distance; I’ll watch her fly higher than the clouds, over every obstacle that tries to get in her way.
However, that’s a long ways from now. For new I’ll watch her play safari in the backyard, dress up like she’s going to play theatre, play guitar and tell her she sounds “nice”, and watch her wrap bandages all over our puppy. Later, at night, when she asks to hear a bedtime story, I’ll tell her the story of “The girl who could do anything she set her mind to”.

Disrespect.
I'm not a perfect human being, no one is. My view on life is to treat others the way you want to be treated. Now, do I always follow that rule? No. I'd like to say I do, but I don't. Sometimes out of anger or just plain ignorance I can be disrespectful, rude, and not treat some fairly. But I'd like to think that something like that doesn't happen to often and can be fixed once I realize I made a mistake.
Now, you're probably wondering what my point is with this? I'll get to that. If you are someone who talks to me just about everyday, you normally hear me complain and rant on about how much I hate riding the bus to & from school. But in reality it really isn't all too terrible (though, I strongly believe there are more dignified methods of transportation..). I'll smile and talk with whoever wants to talk with me, and when I'm not speaking to anyone I'll normally just sit there and mind my own business, put in some headphones and zone out.
Well today was one of those days where I decided to listen to my music and just mind my own business. When two disrespectful girls in front of me decided to say some things they thought I wouldn't be listening to. Only did they not know that my headphones were turned down extremely low and I could every little thing they had said.
"The highlights in her hair are growing out, I bet she can't afford to get new ones."
"Yeah, probably not, I've seen that dinky little house she gets dropped off at everyday."
"Well it least it looks like she's gotten enough to eat."
"HEY! That was mean! Hahaha"
"It can't be too mean since I made you laugh!"
"I don't know what gives her the right to sit on our seat.. Nobody's sitting with her anyways, I wonder if she even has friends"
Want to know why they had such nice things to say about me? The bus driver told me I could sit in their seat because I'm in high school and they need to sit further up because they are in middle school. He assigned me that seat, he told me to sit there. Do their words bother me? No. The fact that they didn't even have the decency to say it when I wasn't around, that's what bothers me. The fact that a person can run their mouth about someone they don't even know, bothers me. Ladies, you can have your seat.

Valentine's day.
Since Valentine's day will be around the corner soon, I thought I would talk about the people who are most important in my life, the people who are there for me even when the road gets a little bumpy... (like my metaphor?)

I like going to the Dollar Tree because I don't have to get dressed up like I'm going to Wal-Mart!
I swear I've heard someone say that before... But a topic like this really makes me laugh because who the heck does dress up to even go to Walmart? Once, before prom last year, my friends & I got stuck following my mom into Walmart so she could get batteries for her camera. The guys in their tux's, and the girls in their dresses, and MY MOM made us go in with her. We got stared at like we were on fire. Nobody fricken dresses up to go to walmart, that's a sweatpants and slippers place fool!
Nuff said.
Nuff said.

Phobias- See any that you have?
So, we all are afraid of something. For me it's spiders, and getting soap in my eyes... But nonetheless, some of these phobias are pretty odd, but real. But you have to admit, there are a lot of weirdos out there. Some who may sit at a laptop, and blog once in awhile...
- Ablutophobia- Fear of washing or bathing. (I think I know a few who have this.)
- Aulophobia- Fear of flutes. (Well, one time, at band camp...)
- Bogyphobia- Fear of bogeys or the bogeyman. (I HAVE THIS. OMG)
- Dextrophobia- Fear of objects at the right side of the body.
- Ephebiphobia- Fear of teenagers. (Hahaha.)
- Hippopotomonstrosesquipedaliophobia- Fear of long words.
- Lachanophobia- Fear of vegetables.
- Melanophobia- Fear of the color black.
- Peladophobia- Fear of bald people
- Pupaphobia - Fear of puppets
- Pteronophobia- Fear of being tickled by feathers.
- Rhabdophobia- Fear of being severely punished or beaten by a rod. (Uhm, okay.)
- Russophobia- Fear of Russians.
- Trichophobia- Fear of hair.
- Walloonphobia- Fear of the Walloons. (If anyone figures out what a Walloon is, lemme' know.)

Oh, hey there. Did you happen to lose your nose? Because I just seemed to have found it in my business.
You know what really gets on my nerves? Why nosy people ask the questions they do. Heck- Even people I hardly know will come up to me and ask me some questions that are so personal I wouldn't even bring them up with a close friend. I understand most people don't mean to come off as rude, I understand that most of them actually do it unwillingly. I strongly believe people need to understand that there are boundaries when others talk about there personal life. But when someone asks the questions it's probably not a big deal to them like it is to you. After all, it isn't their life.
Let's be honest here- being nosy is extremely irritating. But I really think that everyone at least a few times in their life have been offenders of this trait. Myself included, here. So being asked personal questions every once in awhile is no big deal, but after awhile I think it can get on someones nerves. Especially if the person who is asking you feeds off of gossip. - Which for me (being in high school) is normally the case.
